Collision Investigation
The primary role of any established Collision Review Committee is to
determine whether or not a given collision is "preventable" or "nonpreventable"
by their company driver. To effectively determine preventability,
the committee must have the proper, and undisputable,
facts surrounding the cause of the collision. Given the complexity of
the investigation process, and the extensive training required to properly investigate the scene of a collision
in order to provide the committee with the relevant data and conclusions required to reach their decision,
many companies enlist the services of a qualified "Technical Traffic Collision Investigator."
Ground Force Training is your qualified “Technical Collision Investigator”!
Using the same findings and conclusions, the committee is then able, should the need arise, to present
those facts in their defense to any authority that may be questioning their liability.
Evidence and subsequent findings may also be used, in an admission of liability, to avoid costly litigation
time should it become clear that the collision in question was in fact, and without doubt, preventable by
your driver.
What will Ground Force do?
- Review of Highway Traffic Act Regulations

Collision Review
Ground Force can review collisions to determine their preventability
and non-preventability by evaluating them according to generally
accepted principles of defensive driving and collision investigation.
The review is based on the facts contained in the documentation
provided by your company plus any relevant outside information as it
pertains to the specific accident.
The purpose of the review is not to determine who was right or
wrong, but whether or not the collision could have been prevented.
As a result of this review, Ground Force can recommend and provide
training in order to prevent similar collisions from happening in the future.
In order to complete a review of a collision the following information, as available, would be required:
- Collision report
- Photographs from the scene (can be digital)
- Statements from the driver
- Statements from witness's
- Supervisor's summary
- All other related documentation including all driver training provided to the employee involved
