CCOHS Makes Health and Safety Tips Available Via Podcast

Podcast - Podcasting onlineThe Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) continues its march forward technologically, and has now made available several podcasts for easy download in mp3 format, for easy transfer to your iPod or other mp3 player. Of course, you don’t need an iPod or mp3 player to listen; you could download them to any computer and play them back during meetings if you’d like. They’re short enough, you can even make them available to workers during break times.

The recently launched Health and Safety to Go! podcast series offers short 7-10 minute programs on a variety of workplace health, safety and wellness issues. They are currently being released one per month, although the series will expand to two per month beginning in October. Each podcast features a new special guest.

The purpose of these programs is to keep listeners current on health and safety news, and to provide helpful tips to Canadian workers. The series launched with interviews offering insights and perspectives on Day of Mourning, influenza planning, young worker safety and working in the heat..

You can download each Health and Safety To Go! program podcasts by going to the http://www.ccohs.ca/products/podcasts CCOHS site. You may also subscribe to the RSS feed through an RSS feed reader or via iTunes. If you subscribe, new programs will automatically download as they are released, and will be stored on your computer and/or mp3 player for on-demand listening.
